Gabriel Diamond is a director, editor, video artist, director of photography, and teacher.

He started working in video at age 13 when he enrolled in a television production class at a local TV station in Oakland, CA. Soon he was employed there and worked everyday after school, immersing himself in production.

After high school he took up acting, studying and performing theater and film. In 1996 he graduated from Trinity Repertory Conservatory in Providence RI.

He returned to KDOL TV in Oakland for five years where he advanced to Senior Producer.

As Creative Director of Youth Sounds he developed The Factory, an award-winning production company and learning lab for Bay Area youth. Works created under his mentorship won top prizes at dozens of national festivals, and were broadcast widely on television. He continued his work with Youth Sounds, UthTV, and BAVC as supervising producer for several more youth productions including Elements a series of six-half hour shows broadcast on UPN about youth and music, which won an EMMY for best youth production.

In 2005 he was Director of Photography for The Sex Movie which is currently in the festival circuit and is pending distribution.

His first feature Less is an independent narrative film about a man who has chosen to live on the streets in San Francisco (currently in post production).

His work with the Pearson Foundation has allowed him to shoot and produce documentaries with many groups including The Jane Goodall Institute, Peace Jam, and the National Academy Foundation, in Nepal, China, Tanzania, South Africa, India, and The Philippines.

From 2005-07 he taught digital video production at San Francisco State University and continues to act in film and theater.

He is a graduate from New College of California with a major in Visual Media.
